Accessibility Statement

Last updated: September 2026

We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced motion settings.

Standard we aim for

The site is built to target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA. That is a target we work toward actively rather than a certification we claim to have completed.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML with one main heading per page and a logical heading order, so screen reader users can navigate by structure.
  • A skip to content link as the first item on every page.
  • Visible focus styles on every interactive element, so keyboard users can always see where they are.
  • Color combinations checked for contrast. Body text and interface text are intended to meet the AA contrast ratio.
  • Color is never the only way information is conveyed. Labels and text accompany colored elements such as the time bar.
  • Text labels on icon buttons, provided to assistive technology even where the label is visually hidden.
  • Menus, the search panel, and the mobile navigation all operate by keyboard, and close with the Escape key.
  • Images carry alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • All animation and hover movement is disabled automatically when your system asks for reduced motion.
  • Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 360 pixel wide screen, and stays readable when zoomed.
  • Forms use real labels tied to their fields, and errors are announced rather than shown only in color.

Known limitations

We want to be honest about the gaps rather than claim perfection.

  • Third party advertising is injected by external networks. We do not control its markup, and some ads are not fully accessible.
  • Embedded video players come from other platforms and follow their own accessibility behavior, including their captions.
  • Older recipe posts may have shorter image descriptions than newer ones. We are improving these as posts get revised.
  • Recipe card features such as printing and ratings come from a plugin, and we style it but do not control its underlying markup.

Help with reading recipes

Every recipe can be printed as a clean card without navigation, advertising, or photographs, which is often the easiest version to read, enlarge, or pass to a screen reader. Browser zoom works throughout the site, and the text will reflow rather than force sideways scrolling.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site blocks you, please tell us and we will fix it. Email haseebullah4273@gmail.com with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser plus assistive technology you were using. That detail makes a fix much faster. We aim to reply within two business days and to resolve genuine barriers as a priority.

If you need a recipe in a different format in the meantime, ask and we will send it to you directly.
